Sparepart prices; a hostage of your own car

Problem: Did you ever need a spare part for your car? Probably yes. Was the price of this part several times the price you'd expected based upon the price of the car? Probably also yes.

The prices of car parts are based upon ancient law of supply and demand. You have a certain car; you need a certain part. Not something like it, but exactly that part. You are a hostage of your own car.

Solution: The government should regulate spare part prices. Obviously; compared to parts that the factory uses to build cars, there is the element of storage and a more expensive packaging and distribution system, but this should  never exceed a 10% price increase of a certain part.
